OVERVIEW

With its sights set on becoming the greenest cricket ground in the world, installing solar panels was a common-sense move for the Utilita Bowl. With a golf course, spa, Hilton Hotel, wedding venue and conference centre, the Utilita Bowl is the perfect example of having high and varied energy needs.

Our solar installation of 1,044 solar panels will generate nearly 400,000 kWh of renewable energy every year ‑ enough to power 130 average UK homes for an entire year. This will save the campus over £100,000 on their energy bills every year, and over £1.52 million in energy savings over 20 years. It will take just 5 years to payback under a loan agreement. They will also reduce their carbon footprint by 80 tonnes CO2e per year!

With so much space on the Bowl’s iconic stands roof, there’s a perfect opportunity to install a solar system for renewable energy generation.

From day one, Utilita surveyed the stands and supported the Bowl’s management to design a system with all their needs in mind.

Once everything is set, our qualified partners will install the solar panels and a visual display - showing the energy generated by the Bowl in real-time.
